Dr Rajbahadur Gour was a multifaceted personality. He was very affectionate and friendly to me who was more than 20 years younger to him and I have friendly acquaintance with his daughter Tamara and other relatives. I took an extensive interview of Dr. Rajbahadur Gour and published it in Volume 5: Part 1 of my 5-volume work on (compilation of interviews of) famous revolutionary freedom fighters in India published by RAVI SASI ENTERPRISES, Hyderabad. That interview I will post in this blog soon. I am also Convener, Marxist Study Forum, Hyderabad and we used to and do still conduct at least two meetings a year - one to commemorate the Martyrs of our freedom struggle on Bhagat Singh Day (23 March) and the other the October Socialist Revolution Day on 7 November. When Dr Rajbahadur Gour was active and not bed ridden he used to regularly come and speak in our meetings to which we used to invite scholarly persons of widely differing views and denominations. He used to turn up before time and taunt me "Sharma, you are the organizer, why are you late?" He was an amiable personality and used to crack jokes occasionally. He always took things in stride with a smile. It is difficult to forget him. He was quite sympathetic to people's woes and problems.
